Whenever we are tight for time or trying to lose weight, breakfast is the first thing to go. This is the worst meal to give up for weight loss! Here’s a few tips regarding having the most important meal of the day:
1) The reason that this meal is the worst to give up is because researchers have discovered that having something to eat in the morning can boost your metabolism and provide energy for exercise later in the day and in end it will help with weight loss.
2) Don’t forget that “breakfast” is literally breaking your fast. You were just fasting for the last 5-8 hours. Your stored carbohydrates(glycogen storages) are depleted and need to be replenished along with your protein reservoirs in order to start rebuilding broken down muscle.
3) Carbohydrate wise, you want to have a mixture of fast and slow digesting carbohydrates. Whole wheat bread along with some fruit makes a good choice. Any protein selection will suffice as long as it isn’t extremely fatty. Eggs are a good choice because they also provide your good fats as well.
